The group focuses on the area of smart structures in order to improve structural performance under dynamic loading, including wind and seismic excitation.

Research areas include: Cyber-Physical Systems, Structural and Distributed Control, Wireless Sensor Systems, Data Acquisition Techniques, and Structural Health Monitoring.
